What Clearhouse doesn't do

Read this before you rely on anything here. It's short on purpose.

It doesn't move money yet

Routing to pay-per-call services works, but settlement runs in dry-run mode: payment authorizations are built and signed correctly, and then nothing is broadcast. Live settlement is the next thing being built. When it ships it will be non-custodial — your agent signs with its own key, and Clearhouse never holds your funds.

It doesn't verify listings

Everything in the index is a claim made by a registry or a publisher. We crawl, deduplicate, and probe — we don't audit. In a random sample, about one in four services marked "remote" didn't answer a protocol handshake. That's the state of the ecosystem, and it's why the evidence layer exists.

Evidence is not endorsement

A service's evidence report says what we observed: whether it answered, how fast, how many calls went through it and how many succeeded. A high number means it answered and served callers. It does not mean the service is safe, correct, or honest. Clearhouse never picks a service for you and never runs one on your behalf.

Listing text is written by strangers

Names and descriptions come from third parties and can say anything, including things designed to manipulate an AI reading them. Treat them as data, not instructions. We flag text that looks like instructions; we can't catch everything.

Receipts prove what we saw, not what was true

A receipt is a signed record of the request, the endpoint, the timing, the cost, and a fingerprint of the response. It proves Clearhouse observed that exchange. It does not prove the service did good work.

It's early

One person, one server, crawling registries that change without notice. Things will break and get fixed. If you find one, say so: contact@clearhouse.sh.

Clearhouse reports observations at specific points in time. It does not certify the safety, quality, or fitness of any service, and does not select or execute services on anyone's behalf. Use of any listed service is at the caller's sole discretion.
